Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Kent Informatics, Inc. handles information about you we get from our website. In this document, our company, Kent Informatics, Inc., is sometimes called “Kent Informatics,” “we,” or “us.” We may also own other companies, or be closely connected to other companies (subsidiaries and affiliates). They're also covered by this Policy. “You” means you, the user of our website.

Your privacy is important to us. This Policy explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and how we protect it.

What Do We Collect?

Browser information

When you access our website, we may collect and store information about your browser, your IP address, and what web pages you visit. The information sent back to us may indicate what kind of computer and operating system you have, and your preferred language. Your IP address may tell us your approximate location. Each time you click a page, that information is also recorded, along with the page you came from. All this information may be saved in log files (logs) on our servers. We may also use third-party services to help us track website usage. Those services may store similar information on their own servers.

This information is used to learn about who's visiting our website, and to make it better. In most cases, to analyze this data, we combine it with that of many other users. If we suspect a problem with our website, we may look at individual log records in order to figure out what happened.

You can block or obscure some of the above information. Our website doesn't need most of this information to work correctly.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites. Those third-party websites are independent from us, and we don't control what they show, or what they do. We're not responsible for their content, or their own privacy practices. If you access a third-party website, you're responsible for what happens. If you use a third-party website or program, and allow them to access your personal information, you do so at your own risk.

When you make a purchase, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and credit or debit card number.

If you contact us

If you contact us directly, we'll receive the contents of your message and any attachments you provide.

How We Use Your Information

To improve the website

We use some of the information we collect to find and fix problems with the website.

To learn about our users

We analyze the information we collect to learn more about our users. We may combine information from many users into statistical summaries. These summaries don't contain any personal information. We may use these summaries for internal functions, such as accounting and auditing. We may also disclose these summaries to others, for business purposes. For example, we may tell our business partners the number of visitors to our website.

To communicate with you

We may send you emails, or push notifications to your mobile device, to verify your account. We may also send you instructions, reminders, or other important service-related notices.

We may also send you marketing messages. These may include newsletters, surveys, special offers, or other promotional material. Where required, we'll obtain your permission before sending you these notices. You may opt out of these notices. You can do this by clicking a link in the marketing message. If you opt out of marketing communications, you'll still receive important notices about your account.

To process payments

When making a purchase, we use the information you provide to set up an account for you, so you can manage your subscription. We also provide this information to our service provider to process your payment, according to your instructions.

To comply with legal and other requirements, and to protect rights

We may use information in our possession to comply with the law, a subpoena, or a court order. We may use it to comply with important industry standards, or our own internal policies. We may also use it to protect against, identify and prevent fraud, or other unlawful activity. And we may use it to defend ourselves against claims and other liablities.

We'll use reasonable efforts to get the new owner to treat your data the same as we did. You can also contact the new company to ask about your information.
